our plan

Dr Nathan Harmston

Components of developmental pathways (SHH, WNT, NOTCH) are frequently mutated or show large changes in expression is a variety of cancers. I am currently involved in understanding the response of different tumours to treatment with an inhibitor of WNT, by investigating a large-scale timecourse involving many heterogeneous types of data. The aim of this project is to both understand both the function of this pathway in cancer, but also to identify new WNT targets and pathways.

In addition, I am interested in understanding how the structure of the genome is organised and how it has changed during evolution.
